Ok.. Here's the deal. I have the M17x and I am really happy with it. I used to take it to work with me for around 6 months and it started killing my back, so I left it at home to be my "Desktop replacement" and got a Sony Vaio Z for work and travel. The M17x is still performing well, but if it's going to be standing still in my home, shouldn't I get a desktop? Like the ALX X58?

Is Alienware planning on making new desktops? Is there a desktops that outperforms the ALX X58?

why would they need new desktops?

they have the LATEST CPU's out right now (i7 ad phenom 2)

but never in your life buy a Alienware Desktop. I will build you a system and then you can let me keep the left over :)

They upgrade their desktops often when new things come out.

Unless youre rich and dont know how to build a computer, then like moo said you shouldnt buy a alienware desktop.

I believe the 3700USD base price is with 1 single GTX 295. But still, most computer-literate people would know that when it comes to desktops, WE are the MASTERS of computers. If i were to make a desktop with 3800USD, BOY the things i would do...protected with laser proton gun...lol

haha Sach, yeah a proton gun would be nice.

And yes it does start with a single gtx 295.

For $3800 you could have fun building your own desktop. With liquid cooling, or nitrogen. lol
