Is it worth the extra 150 dollars? Anyone have the WideUXGA screen? Soory for the stupid question. Finaly decided on the M15x.

Depends if you want 1440x900 or 1920x1200
Also the WUXGA will be matte, while the XGA is glossy. Most people prefer the glossy screen because a lot of games are native to 1440x900.
I chose it for that reason plus a 15.4 inch screen is too small in my opinion for 1920x1200, for a 17 incher its nice.
Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.. -
WXGA+ also has better viewing angles, but I don't think it's that big of a deal unless you use your PC as the movie watching medium with friends or something. If you're gaming you should be looking directly at it too. I don't think it's that games are "native to 1440x900" it's just that it's less demanding of a resolution when gaming compared to 1920x1200. It's a pretty big difference in how many pixels need to be processed.
I've got the WUXGA though and I love it. The real estate is a definite plus. I multi-task constantly and having all this room just makes me happy. With the power in the m15x, you should be able to handle most games on high to max settings on 1920x1200 still minus the most demanding games like Crysis. Even then, I can run medium to high settings in Crysis/Warhead with good FPS. So, really it's up to preference. -
I have the WUXGA also, I'm very happy with it, however, I'd have a hard time recommending it to anyone. If you USE the space for something, then yes. go for it, but if you're going to primarily play games, chat and browse the internet, don't.
I've run into several applications that are not aware of font size, and so I end up with some distorted graphics with the DPI set to 120. Plus there's an added strain on the graphics card to render the extra real-estate...
so again, it comes down to you, if you think you can use it, sure, go for it. but if not, then don't. -
Thanks for all of the coments! How does it handel games?

FAQ about the displays, is here. -
i have the 1440x900 and it looks amazing. on games you wont get a really solid framerate on high settings and wuxga.
and on a 15.4" its not even really noticeable anyway. and the glossy screen is much nicer than matte for gaming.. in my opinion go for the wxga!! -
