    Hi,
I'm having a sound problem on my m15x running Windows 7. The sound spikes about 15-30 seconds a time. I have also noticed that whenever I use Fn+F8 to Eject the DVD Drive the spikes will appear.

Any one here has the same issue and got fixed ?

See the result after I pressed Fn+F8 several times.

it is know when you eject the disk it will cause a huge latency spike, it will happen no matter what OS you are using.

Other than that your latency looks good.

The OSD utility makes a huge lat spike when you hit that fn+f8, if you right click on the drive in my computer and eject it that way you will not get the lat spike.

Also try a Vista x64 video driver, I seem to get better results with them over the Windows 7 ones. Don't get a 185 driver they do not work with the m15x for some reason. Hit up labtopvideo2go.

any thing less than 1000us is good.

Thanks you guys. Good to know the hot key Fn+F8 causes that problem. But I still got a sound spike about 30 seconds a time :(

Try updating your chipset and other intel drivers (networking) or disable devices until the latency stops. Also what Bios are you using, I recommend the x32 and x36, the x34 is know to have latency issues.
