I just installed Win7 64bit on my m15x with 4GB RAM and I noticed I started running out of memory VERY quickly.

Multi-tasking situations that even Vista would handle without breaking a sweat was throwing me errors in Win7 telling me that I'm about to run out of memory. It suggested I close AlienFusionController.

I did and I started using something like 1.5GB less RAM.

    What's going on?

Its an error in Win7 I believe, there was a thread about Alien Command Center leaking ram and taking a chunk of ram away, best thing to do is get rid of AlienFusionController or Alien Command Center.

go to start->run then type in msconfig and disable the commandcentre in startup
the collours will stay on and when you want to change them you can just start the command centre using the touch controll :)

this is a known isssue, findvikas reported it waaay back. no way to fix it i fear. you could of course use findvikas' color wheel tool to change the colors.

If you have another OS on a different partition, you could always log on to that partition and change the colors there.

I have this problem too or else the win 7 is cool. My game start stuttering maybe about 2 mins after because I think AlienFusionController.exe is consuming the CPU again.

actually I found a solution to that, go to msconfig and service tab, disable Alienware Fusion Service then after reboot fusion will not start and thus not hogging the system!! And Commend Center can still be opened and used just it wil freeze if you try to access Fusion ;)

I have PM'd James about an OS upgrade and he suggested waiting until they are selling it, that way they will have a new version of the comand centre which will be presumably be patched to work without leaking memory.

At the moment AW don't support Windows 7 so support will be limited to the forum.
