Ok, I got windows 7100 working minus some useless stuff, but I have a problem with the touchpad.

The original windows vista driver allow it to automatically disable the touchpad if I plug in external mouse.
After install the vista driver in win7, I still get the same functionality and more, which is not desired. After I activate this function, it disables my touchpad even when external mouse is not presented.

    Anyone has this problem?

did you install the mouse driver or left it alone. i found that leaving it alone was the best solution for me.

I installed it and installed Logitech setpoint for external mouse.

Would it allow automatic disable touchpad if external mouse is not plugged in?

no it doesn't auto disable for me maybe because i haven't install synaptics because i found my system better without it. i have a g5 and installed setpoint and i was fine.

Yeah I agree, I found just leaving Windows 7 to install the touch-pad driver is the best solution.
You do lose Synaptics control panel but at least it works!(or at least I lost Synaptics in 7077) I tried to install my touchpad driver from myhive in order to get back Synaptics control panel and I lost the touchpad altogether. Ive heard this has happened to someone else on here as well.
When I reinstall Windows 7 tomorrow then Im just gunna let Win7 install it and not bother with Synaptics.
