    Can someone find a set of windows 7 drivers for m17?

    First thing come to mind is the ATI windows 7 driver, can someone like ewreck mod it for mobile?

    Which Vista drivers are not working? Most of Windows 7 will work with Vista drivers.

    Dude Windows 7 is still in beta and which I do not think you have access. But I read somewhere it got leaked to torrents sites.

    some builds have been (legally) released to system developers etc, but those are pretty rare. chances are fusion has his from a torrent site :)

    Since this is an extension of Vista, drivers should be the same as of now. Don't expect a lot of changes until the "official" beta roll out, when that happens there should be a small flury of driver releases that will be hit or miss. What I am seeing so far is that 7 is not going to have the same driver problems as Vista did on release.

    Yeah, I had the 7000 build yesterday.
    All the reviews say it's very very stable, like retail quality. Only problem is the windows version # which might not be compatible if programs take the number seriously. That's same with drivers.

    Most, if not all vista 32 bit drivers should work with 7

    i just tried Windows 7. i got the beta build 7000. It has newer drivers for our card than are on ATI's site. I couldnt get the Newer Version of catalyst to install after a few tries. Windows 7 does not have alot of the drivers for our system besides audio and video. It does include Direct x 11. I tried to run 3dmark, but it wouldnt let me register it. i have the 3dr file but cant open it.

    Anyone know the network Ethernet driver at I need for windows 7?
    What was the driver in vista?

    Also, I can't install the synaptic touch pad driver.

    update:

    Fix all drivers, finally.
    Installed ATI preview driver for windows 7, and start up Guildwars to check performance.

    It's way slower, seems like only 1 GPU is used.

    - Need to change to high performance in ATI CCC.
    - Second 3870 still doesn't do anything in GW, even change settings in A.I.

    its windows 7, it doesnt support crossfire or sli, and it may never. Im going to try and get a copy of xp64 and run that on here. I have a drive with win 7 on it for toying with. Hopefully microsoft will come to their senses, which i doubt, and support CF/SLI

    I like the new taskbar, need some fine-tune to be perfect.

    Everything seems working fine.

    Btw, the whole install with all the drivers takes less than 10 GB of hard drive.
    First boot shows 500 MB of ram used with 39 processes.

    i wasnt able to get my 3dmark working in 7. Ill have to toy with it some more tomorrow and see what i can get it to do. Were you able to get wifi to work?

    I got everything to work except sleep. Well, sleep doesn't work in vista too.

    The wifi is just AW realtek driver with vista compatibility.

    Both of my M17 has sound stuttering after wake up from sleep in vista.
    The sound stutters also cause graphic card to slow down, and unplayable in games.

    Hrm.. Im bout to install Win7 - burning the .iso now. Havent had any free time lately, I downloaded the 32bit Win Ultimate Build 6956 - supposedly the most bug free, and it doesn't have any watermarks, or registration required. It's an .iso that is the Win7 install DVD. I'll give any feedback as I can. Oh, and AMD has a 8.12 driver for Win7 listed on their downloads. I got it the other day. It's their Win7 Beta Driver.. so hopefully it's meant to enable Crossfire, etc.

    CF is working in games and GPU-Z info, but GPU-Z load log doesn't say so.

    from what I read this version has everything unlocked. the download also doesn't have any watermarks, warnings about registering, etc. We'll see..

    Per NBR rules I can't offer the link for the torrent download..however it is an easy google to find it. Just download the full version .iso of Ultimate :)

    yeah, its only showing 3 gb for me. im on it now. got the same 3dm06 as with vista 64. all my drivers are the most up to date vista drivers. Although i am having trouble getting CCC to work. im gonna try and install it again.
