    Windows 7 install order M17x and dissapearing dvd drive

    Just wanted to put this up incase others had the same problems Will and I did. Cheers. Admins, you can sticky this.

    Problem I was having was that when I installed Windows 7, the hard drive wouldn't be found. If you install from a (4GB min) thumb drive, you would get around that problem, but the dvd drive wouldn't operate. After following the install procedure and drivers, the dvd driver loaded. I suspect that after you load the ITE driver (for the bus) windows finds the dvd and installs it's own driver. Ever since following that install procedure, everything works and I have had no issues.
