Hi, I've just spent the last 2 hours trying to figure out why the sound on my m17x stopped working.

I have concluded that it is one of these 3 updates doing it:

-Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB976325)
-Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - December 2009 (KB890830)
-Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB915597 (Definition 1.71.700.0)

I'm running Windows 7 home x64 (installed it cleanly just 3 days ago) and was using the latest IDT drivers (even tried older ones). Had to eventually use system restore to fix the problem.

Just letting you guys know if you run into a similar problem.
