The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Is there a complete list (or working list) of Windows Updates to avoid?

    I know there were issues that were resolved by deleting some updates, but I can't remember what threads they were.

    If we don't have a list, would you guys mind posting what updates you have avoided and why. Perhaps we can start working on getting a list going for those of us who still want to stay back on Windows 7 or 8.
