I have the 17x and I was not connecting above 130 Mbps. I changed this setting on the wireless cards advance settings:
    Bandwidth Capability to 11a/b/g:20/40MHz
and now I can connect at 300 Mbps. This is great but I seem to be unable to connect to any G routers unless I switch that setting back. Is there any other setting I can change so that I'm compatible with G networks.
