Just wondering if anyone else that plays WoW started having issues with the game after 3.1 patch.
Seems like the game just randomly freezes for about 2 minutes without no reason. Temperatures are the same, hardware is the same, drivers are the same, programs running are the same.
Trying to figure out if its a game issue or my laptop's issue![]()

Have you checked the official WoW forums and searched to see if the 3.1 patch has caused any widespread problems?
-
Well there are people complaining about freezes since the beginning of this game
So its a bit hard to isolate it
-
Are you using the 9.4 drivers? Since updating to those, I've had no problems with wow. Anything before that, the problems were numerous.
-
nah still 8.12 for about 5-6 months now. Tried 9.4 but didnt like the performance so went back to my old 8.12
-
my server supports 3.0.9
cant help
-
May be worth a re-install... Sometimes there is just a small, weird, unexplainable glitch... A fresh install could do the trick (worked for myself in the past).
-
my bro plays wow on the m17 and has complained of this and I'm running 9.4 on it but just rolled back to 9.3 because of his complaints.
-
I had a problem....TOO MANY PATCHES and TOO MANY EXPANSIONS!
-
"Cant" do a reinstall since it takes like 1 hour to install it, like 10 cds in total
And im known to be pretty lazy to do things like that
otaku: You mean your brother has problems with freezes as well ?
Problem with this is that its a really odd freeze. Game freezes for about two minutes and nothing shows in the windows error logs or wow error logs. Also never had this problem till 3.1 got released. Tried to do some searching about it but there are too many people complaining about this for lots of different reasonsAnd if you play wow then you know what most people "solution" is. Delete your folders bla bla bla, typical

I used to play WOW half year ago. but now i play not more. tired on wow serives lag, BG lag and too many unbalance skill and those unbalance class setting. the Only online game i still playing is Guildwars
btw, try repair wow using official repair tool ? -
matrix your hp burnt up due to the 8600 being faulty
nvidia and hp knew they were ....freakin hp and Nvidia
-
-
right, and Hp seem didnt extended warranty on the dv9500 series ( only up to dv9400) and the current warranty already expired 8 months ago.
So they will charge me for the repairing. oh . And i have been checked on NBR for the approximate price for replace the motherborad and graphic card is about $400omg $400!
For $400 i could just get a nice little netbook for that.

Are you running your old add ons still?
You might have to delete them and get updated ones. -
-
Oh cool, so none of them are outdated? I dont remember there being a client when I use to play back in the day, but I remember I would have to reinstall the add ons when a new patch came out.
-
Try disabling all your addons then, maybe one of them is outdated and there is no update for it at the moment.
-
Yea problem in that case is, since im using a lot of addons disabling all of them and then trying to figure out which one is it is not doable
Not to mention i cant really disable them since, u know, Omen, dbm etc are needed for raids
And the other issue is that the problem is completely random, might take up to a week to freeze -
Omen and DBM both had updates post-patch. Your Curse Client will have told you to update everything.
If you think its the addon's I suggest only disabling the ones that state that they are outdated - as in the addon enable/disable menu. -
Thats another problem, none of the addons is marked as outdated in the enable/diable menu in game.
-
If you're using so many add-ons, chances are it is add-ons that are causing the problem. DBM and Omen aren't needed to raid, common sense works just as well. Also, I wouldn't comment on Tech Support being ty if you haven't been through them before. I've phoned three times, about various issues, and they've always tried their best to resolve the problem - only once they didn't, but that's because I phoned them up to my off to them about my account getting permanently banned. (Got it unbanned, so that story doesn't end badly. =p)
-
Well, taking DBM and Omen as an example, they might not be needed, but either way since a lot of people running those if it was an issue that these addons cause then all of us would have the same problem.
