Does anyone know why this would happen. I have the settings all on ultra but Im sure my computer would be able to handle it. I tried to toggle stealth mode on and off and it seems like its the same thing. I have also tried to turn the setting down to High and medium and it seems like it is doing the same thing. Please help

Well if stealth mode is off and you are sure of that, you may be experiencing GPU throttling if you are in busy areas. A way to get around it is to force the 3d clocks using rivatuner. See the link in my signature to the throttling investigation thread for more info.

I would like to add that I was playing before on just the computer on ultra and it would work fine. Now I am playing on separate monitor and it started acting up. Could that be the reason also?

Disable the laptop display when you output it to an external monitor and see if you still have performance problems. -
Yeah I'm having the same problems and I'm running graphics on medium setting. Doesn't matter if it's a high populated area or not. I'm very disappointed in the M15x performance. Seems to happen in a lot of newer games I've tried. Ghostbusters, Mirrors Edge, ect. It doesn't matter what the settings are at I keep getting this constant jumping of frames. And I'm using the newest Nvidia drives, not beta.

this makes me worry i just purchased a m15x, and now i think i'm gonna return it and just wait till the ati cards come out for it, or just upgrade later.....

Implement Joker's throttling workaround and see if the problem(s) go away.
Like I said, plays great on mine without the throttling implementation including a week of raiding (Ony 25, Naxx 25 badge run, OS 25, and some 10's) when I didn't have a physical internet connection for my desktop and I had to, um, borrow a WiFi signal to get my raid on for the week.
WoW very slow on my M15x
