Lots has been said about the UXGA screen. What about the lower rez one? I might be willing to sacrifice some pixels if the colors and contrast are good.

If you can link the precise panel it has, kudos to you.

The rumor has it, they are approx. the same. Their quality is a toss up too.

That would be great. Lots of these gaming computers are sporting poor low rez panels.

Which laptop are you talking about? I've got the XGA+ in the M17, and it's fine. I don't see what the big deal is really about the 1920x1200 screen...then again, I've never used one so I wouldn't know :p

I have a 27inch Samsung on my gaming PC that is 1920x1200 and the words are hard to read on that. My friend got a Dell 1730 with the 1920x1200 17 inch screen and I would need reading glasses if I had one. Besides games run alot faster on the lower res screen.

Have you seen crysis on 1900x1200 lcd high defination lcd? I had an ecstacy the first time i booted crysis on an old m17x with max high resolution lcd display.

Max resolution high def lcd monitor gives you a hard on, and im being serious.
    ;)

Is it really that good? I'm considering upgrading when I have the money. I'd quite like to play Lord of the Rings Online on 1920x1200, Ultra High.

    its that damn good.
