$9000 AUD = approx $6000 US dollars. Still quite a chunk of change for a computer, but there are worse things to spend money on.

Nice system, hope you enjoy it. ;) ;)

I can tell you guys this with confidence - Australia Alienware are absolutely great with customer service.

It's chalk and cheese between US and AUS Alienware Customer Service.

I work on oil rigs offshore (Offshore work pays 2x as much as land rigs)

Thanks mate yeah that's the game I really don't know why people talk about that game so much IMO it's over rated and the graphics are so cartoonish. I didn't buy this rig for that game anyway so i am looking out for a good game :) if you got better game to tell me about let me know i got 3 hours to play on it before i fly out on thursday.

hahah i will mate don't you worry about that...

Tim from Alienware said he wants to make this the best experience i ever had with a computer. I think Alienware wants to undo the dirty deed done by Austin Computers. Hhahahah no one has played games on my computer before i take delivery of mine.

I don't mind if Alienware Tech Personal played with it as long as they fix it hahahhhaa. At least they don't have street traffic like scums from all over the world touching and playing games or installing games like Cod4 on it (Thanks Austin for the free serial for CoD4 muahahhaah i got banned for hacking the game).

Good on ya Tim from Alienware Australia.

EDIT: I only worry about the water cool system whilst on transit. I don't trust the posties.

I will post a lot of pics tomorrow with me hugging it for you ahahhahaa.

good luck mate. after the mess you had to put up with from austin you deserve some good luck.
9000 does sound a lot but thats just under £4000 so not as bad as it sounds.
cant believe youve not got a monitor included in there and also you only 1 year warranty, upgrade quick, just in case :)

    Thanks mate

oh do you think 3 year warranty is worth while?

i will probably upgrade the rig every 12 months anyway so i think its pointless getting 3 year warranty.

I have my own monitor already which i got ripped off with at Austin Computers anyway.

    It's a 24" Asus one.

The thing that bugs me about Austin Computers is they will always try to flog you old stock instead of selling you what you want. They are not interested in what the customers want they only care for their profit margin thanks to a dumb geek like me who always pay without asking for the price first. They took advantage of me real bad.

They priced up a rig for me that cost almost $8000 for one with 2 x 9800 GTX black edition so i think i didn't do bad here i got a real Alienware for only a grand more plus 2 x Ati cards. I could see in the chinese owner's eyes he thought he had me again i saw $$$ in his eyes which woke me up.

What if someone wanted to buy something good for themselves?
And 50x faster? You don't get much faster than 4 4870s in Xfire.

Your just jealous cause he bought something you could never afford. Its his decision and we should keep bad comment to ourselves.

And refrain from emphasizing words by repeaaaaaaaaaaaaaating one letter a dozen times. This is a forum, not a MSN conversation.

    tyronne,
as a mariner from the US I'm curious as to what kind of schedule you work down under. 2x2, 2x1 etc. Just wondering. I work in the US Merchant Marine and currently am cutting a fat hog in the a$$ so to speak but like to keep tabs on what's going on in the rest of the world.

Also, I've never spent that much on a pre-made system, but I easily spend that in a year on upgrades so don't sweat it, you've got one sweet system that will last. As to the shipping situation, I hope they work it out for you, but you shouldn't stress about that either because if you're like me, your time at home is valuable and you don't want to spend more time than necessary waiting for the things you buy. ;)

In my early days in the shipping industry my wife and I bought a 4 bedroom 3 car garage house on a golf course in Kali that I literally got to sleep in for 8 days the first 6 months we owned it because of my work schedule. Things are much better now, but most people don't understand what it means to have a job where you don't get to come home at night. Sometimes time is worth a lot more than money. :D :D :D

Lastly the i7 is fast, but every review I've read puts the Q9650 within striking distance and 4 HD4870's is downright cool!
