    Hey there guys and gals,

The Worldwide m15x Forum Survey MrDJ started has been getting quite a few hits lately and so I have decided to create a seperate thread for some graphs & stats from the survey data. It's got over a 1000 views and so I thought a visual representation of the data would allow people both new and old to better see how Alienware and the m15x have progressed from launch till present.

Note: All graphs & stats are base solely on the Survey. To get more accurate numbers I request all current m15x owners to take a little time to complete it. This will allow all potential buyers to get a better view of the m15x and/or Alienware :)

Requests/Ideas/Improvements for graphs (based on available info) are accepted !!

    Without further ado I present
    GRAPHS
    1) Average ratings of m15x and Alienware:

This is a really good idea but... what conclusions can you get from the graphs?
The only thing I can conclude is that Europeans are more demanding with what they get.

Thank you very much for your effort, and specially MrDJ as he was the one that really made all this possible.

-Ratings for the m15x are looking up from when it was first launched
-People are more willing to buy again from Alienware or recommend it to a friend than at the beginning
-UK Alienware are not delivering up to the mark products (?)
-As per survey info, recent m15xs are more likely to be in good/almost working order out of the box

Thank you. MrDJ has indeed made a good start :)

Let me start by saying that I REALLY APPRECIATE your Effort Wraith.

But let's go down to my thoughts on this:

Your conclusions... That's where I wanted to go to. This is what I think is the "real danger" of putting this survey in colours. I am looking at those graphs and I can't really conclude anything you concluded. More, because I am quite informed.

This is just free publicity to Alienware. In fact, if you have read through the posts of people that received the laptop just last week, you will see that there are several that are happy with them but still say that there is keyboard flex, screen wobbliness, keyboard lag, bad speakers, etc etc... These people posted on the world survey and left positive comments about it.

Does this means that the laptops have improved?

3 cases of GPUs damaged last week (two in laptops with less than one week)... These people posted that the laptop is working out of the box.
I posted mine was working out of the box. Hell... it turns on when I switch it on. But it had problems already... but it was working.

Bottom line, I really think this is a really biased set of data and is just going to give people false hopes. There is no strong evidence (if there is any evidence at all) that anything improved regarding the M15x production. This "study" shows that with colours.

i would also like to say a big thank you to Wraithers who without his help you would be waiting ages for the graphs as i am sooooooo busy at work. yesterday our pacs server went down and the back up one didnt kick in and it was panic stations all round. 3 hospitals without any radiology computers you can imagine.
tempory 16TB HD now working (imgine that as an external hard drive for your m15x)

anyway back to business. i will add this link to the survey page and also to the comments page.

    thanks once again Wraithers

    - More m15xs working out of the box & country ratings improving

    - Slight improvement of customer service rating

This survey has raised some hope for me as my m15x should be coming soon. Though I should probably not be too optimistic about my future laptop's performance and stability for now (I might end up disappointing myself if I did), I'll definitely throw in my input about how well it comes out to be.

glad its helped out in some way. that was the main reason for doing it.
i think a lot of us would like to forget about march and april this year as the majority had problems.
    glad things are looking up.

Holy Smokes... according to MrDj's 3rd chart, the m15x has a 36% DoA?

wow! my (apparel) production goes on a 5% tolerance at random spot inspections... anything further than that, we go into a piece by piece hand inspection... woa... 36% and it get shipped...

remember that this forum isn't representative. many of those with faults come here specifically because of those faults, which skews the results.

a few more graphs updated for you.
i know they are not as good as Wraithers but for a first attempt im quite impressed with them.
dont even ask me to work out the % :D

these readings were all taken from everyone that filled out the m15x forum survey. a few scores had to be rounded off as i couldnt give half a score and some were not filled out at all.

its kept me occupied for the last couple of hours as ive broken my foot and am bored rigid.

some interesting outcomes if you ask me.

its not actually a DOA reading. it could be anything from non responsive touch controls to other hardware problems but i dont think there were actually any DOA.
