Hey, I recently got my x51 with i3 processor, and was wanting to upgrade to i5 or even i7 but unfortunately dont know much about computers.
So first of all is it even possible to upgrade it?
If so, what processor would you suggest i upgrade to.

Yes, you can simply buy a retail CPU in any computer shop and easily replace it. You don't need Dell for that. Make sure which generation CPU you have and upgrade to a CPU from the same gen to avoid trouble. If you are 2nd gen i3, i7 2600K should cost around 300 bucks, for example.

BTW, x51 is a really sweet small system. I am getting one for a home server soon.

Hello, Grandxwc, yes, the processor is upgradeable in the X51. You can put a i7-2600 in it.

Also, you are welcome to join our desktop sister site, Alienware and meet other X51 owners.
