Hi, i found this forum by searching info about the m15x as i wanted to buy it.
I have seen people satisfied of it and people unhappy and which had problems with their notebooks.
Had some second thoughts about buying it but i thought i should "try my luck" and placed an order through UK website as i'm from Europe.

Hi danieLs and welcome to the forum and soon to be m15x user.
im not sure about any of the graphics cards but as yours is a 512mb it should be very good, compared to all the off the shelf computers that use shared grapics or at the most 128mb. -
congrats on the purchase. hope your m15x wont come with any problems. the 8700 is a good card. the card should last you around 2 years playing with a bit higher specs.
-
Welcome to the club. Looks like you have a good machine that was my original config before I bumped up my processor. I think you'll be very happy let us know how it goes and also let us know if you have any questions.

Update: Phase 4

Pants. -
i think so. at least the german website says 8 days wait for the screen. so is yours, judging from the config page. well let's hope they can speed things up a bit
-
Hi, and welcome to the boards. Aside from the HDD, your config is identical to mine, and aside from a strange keyboard problem (which i highly doubt you'll run into), I've been very happy with it. the 8700 holds its own very well.

Congrats and welcome to the m15x club!
-
Going to be an awesome system...good luck and welcome =)

thanks, but number of posts like http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=243517 is kind of growing and really makes me have second thoughts :-S
-
just remember not all m15x customers visit this place. you're bound to see a higher percentage of lemons at a place like this.
-
Update: Phase 5
-
i'm STILL in phase 4... even though the CS guy told me all parts where now available...
-
maybe they haven't updated the status page yet
-
Phase 9
I'm all excited but what about Phase 7(System Testing) and Phase 8(Quality Control), so fast?
anyway as i said, finger crossed, hope it's all good -
you said it yourself, the online status thingy doesn't get updated nearly as often as it should. MrDJ had 30min of phase 5 as well... then again, his m15x turned out to be a half-lemon so...
-
now i should recive a DHL tracking number?
-
as soon as dhl has it, yeah. you might've missed the last pickup run though. which would mean you get the tracking number tommorow.
-
ok, thanks for the info
Yet another m15x on the way...
