    Hey all.

Don't think I can wait any longer for the Clevo M860TU - should I?

Anyhoo, if I get the T7100 processor can I get the x9000 in the future as a direct drop in replacement?

How easy is it to upgrade HD's in the alienware? I've ripped apart hp's, dell's and ohers but never alienware - but all easy. Is alienware any diff? I would get the system with the 120gb HD but drop in a 320 as soon as it gets to me.

    Thanks all...

I'm also getting a Clevo 860TU when released, but I'm not in a 'need a laptop now' mode, obviously. It's most likely shipping in June (since that's when Intel is set to release Montevina), so if you can wait that long you can make a more informed choice on getting either the M15X vs Clevo.

As for the hard drive in the M15X (and for just about every other main component), it's ridiculously easy to get to:

Remove the service cover, and you have access to everything.

EDIT: CPU upgrade is a yes, same socket P on the same mobo = possible.

Changing the processor yourself voids the AW warranty. Just an FYI.

hd is extremely easy to change in most alienwares I've seen. Also, you could always get the smart bay hd too
