Hi to all gamers and users,
I'm just curious to find out about the overall GRFX performance of the Nvidia's cards in SLI configuration from the actual users and not a web-site based reviewer/magazine. Everyone is welcome to post his/her opinion about how 280's run and your experience while gaming with them.
Thanks !
ps really want to know how STALKER runs under 280M in SLI

Hello
Well I only have a M17 with the 4850's in them and I run both stalker games at 1920x1200 with enhanced dynamic lighting and everything maxed and it runs absolutely flawlessly so I would say with the 280's which are about 10% faster you should have no issues at all. -

^ +1, that's great to hear, really ! As I'm going to play the heck out of the Stalkers on my new system. Never really had a chance to experience that awesomeness due to the previous lack of an adequate system that would be able to run the game with the eye-candy settings turned on.

the 4850s run well, but the GTX 280m's run better
They perform beautifully and are about as powerful as a single desktop Radeon 4890 (I have both and have verified this) -

So far, mine has handled everything I've thrown at them, including Crysis Warhead, Farcry 2, GTA IV, and this is at max settings, no AA, 30s to 40s average framerates.

Ditto above, I run crysis on max settings(sans aa) @ 1600x1200 and it dosent skip a beat. My p8700 OCD to 2.93ghz and stock sli 280 clocks get about 11,700 vantage points for reference. The brand newish games tax the system a bit, empire total war is a major drain but that could be the graphics engines poor scaleability. Running with 4gb pc1066 as well

that vantage score is with physx on, it is not comparable to other scores being posted....run it again with PPU disabled then see what it is haha
