I was reading Cha's post about the G-Mask covering that he put on his M15X laptop which seems to help with the hinge problem.

Yet G-Mask is not that widely available for many people. I believe they make something similar that may protect our laptops and strengthen the hinge area also. Currently they do not have it available for the M15X but if more people request for it, I believe they may consider it. Look at the video. http://www.zagg.com/ It looks like some tought stuff !!!

Hey it's worth a try !!! I hope this helps. God Bless :)

Yeah, i think that would work great Jdeluna. The only problem I can foresee is that you have to apply it on your own, which is quite difficult.

Yeah I've contacted them previously about a cover for the m15x. They said they'd be happy to make one, as long as I could send the laptop to them, and it would be with them for maximum of a week. And then they'd send it back.
I need my laptop though... So what I thought was to get a petition and get everyone to sign it. The petition would be to get alienware to send just a chassis, or laptop, to zegg so they could make the designs to cover it. And then we can buy it...

    Just an idea...

When I get my laptop I *may* consider sending it to them, or since I am getting a used M15X and am thinking long-term about the hinge problem as in maybe replacing the parts myself *IF* it happens to me, I was on Ebay and saw that some places sell the outside parts for the M15X for pretty cheap and maybe I could send the parts to ZAGG for them to make a template for the M15X. Just a thought. God Bless :)
