“They have failed to return or repair my Alienware M17 after I paid them $595 dollars to replace the video card - this was in February and no contact since -- BEWARE,this site and company is a huge scam -- I called dell and Alienware and they said they would advise everyone to stay away from them. Because they receive a lot of complaints from people believing that they are a authorized service center and want to know why they have not fixed, returned or repaired their equipment.
Be for-warned they are not an authorized service center for any Dell or Alienware products.

I notified everyone by email on their partners list and I have received several phone calls and 4 emails wanting all the info I had on the company because they stated that they never heard of them and if they are using their sites in criminal activity they are going after them -- one also stated they were going after them for just listing them without their knowledge --- so this is the best response since the beginning

Sad news when this happens
Always worth checking out a company before spending a large amount of money for recent reviews just in case.

Rengsey R. H. Jr. I Never Slept
Well , I found this thread a little too late.
i made two order with ztronics. I ordered a power board with cable for my m18x , then I found a palm rest with the power button included and ordered that too , along with a red lcd cover.
today , i received my order.
The palm rest is missing the power board and cable. I sent an email to let them know. Knowing that it will take a couple of days for them to reply , i decided to call them instead.
I politely told the person that one of the item is missing a part that should have been included. He proceed to say that it does not come with it. I said it does. I told him that he should at least refund my 1st order with the power board with cable , since the palm rest was missing the power board and cable. He then proceed to say " People like me need to stop complaining about a $12 dollar item " .. I was like .... how did this came about. I told him it's the principle that if i ordered something I should get that order exactly how it was ordered. He told me to F' off and he will refund and charge restocking fee and some other BS. He argued and raised his voice and basically blaming that I am wrong and so forth for trying to get what i paid for. I told him I paid for service and his service customer service is bad. He kept mentioning about the petty $$ , and tell me to stop crying, go shop somewhere else and hung up on me.
and what makes matter worst , I took a look at the power board and cable ( 1st order ), the cable itself has one wire rip from the connector, that mean it's defective and cannot be used. I was like " arghhhhh !!!! I decided to just let this go and not bother to call back. I'll take a loss rather than dealing with a monster.
Don't order from this vendor. I hope Alienware rep will stop giving this vendor business as their customer service is extremely bad.Attached Files:

How are the experiences with parts-people.com? They stock a lot of Dell items. THis is what I like in genral about Dell to begin with. It is easy to get parts luckily.
-
It's only easy to get the parts directly from Dell if they have them in stock. On older machines they sometimes do not. When they do not, they usually cannot give me an ETA on when they will have it in stock again. But, they can tell me when the part is discontinued and no longer in production, so that is useful. I know at that point I am going on a hunt for something hard to find and maybe need to consider buying at least one extra/spare for later. Once in a while I get a muppet that insists on having the service tag and refuses to sell me what I want without it. I hang up and call back and talk to someone else. I tell them it is for a customer's machine, service tag is not handy. I ask to verify part number, price and availability. If they confirm they have it, I place the order by phone.Rengsey R. H. Anyways, it's that exact type of story why I started trying to help people on this forum in the last few years. Got so sick of so many little 1 man companies and scam artists treating people this way. Like I get it can be tough running a business, but if you do not see how the customer feels - then your in the wrong business.
The only reason you should be dealing with customers like Alienware customers - is because you are as excited about these laptops as they are, if your not, then get the hell out and find something else to sell, because Alienware's require a lot of love to function and appreciate (as they break down and their issues are so darn frustrating haha)Rengsey R. If he only didnt cheated me out of principle , I would not have had a problem.
@woodzstack , thanks for the offer. Its the cable that connect from the Power button to the motherboard. I don't need it anymore though. I looked through my spares m17x R3 and it had a cable that can be used. Its shorter than the m18x cable , but it works just fine.
On a side note , I gave that vendor $110+ of my business. But all I received was missing part from one order and defective part from another order. I got taken advantage of. He sees the opportunity to make extra money off me and succeeded .. -
Are you talking about the ribbon cable? If you are, there's a really good e-bay seller in Spain called "Badatronix" who stocks all sorts of ribbon cables. I've bought 3 or 4 times from him. His prices are fair and he ships fast. You just need to know the pin count, pin pitch (spacing between pins), the orientation of the pins (reversed or same side of cable), and the approximate length of the original. The M15X for example uses a same sided, .5mm pitch, 16 pin count cable for the power board. You may want to keep this in mind for the future. I've managed to damage at least 4 of these cables over the years.

I struggled for a while to find a replacement ribbon cable for the power board. The problem is I kept searching for these cables as Dell parts which they are not. As a matter of fact, when I first needed one years ago I called Dell, and they didn't stock the cable itself. They offered to replace my entire motherboard under warranty and I refused since all I needed was the cable. I looked at the markings, counted the pins, measured the pitch and length and searched online and found several electronics suppliers that stocked them. I am sticking with Badatronix now because they stock all the ones I need and I usually get them within a week of placing my order.

I have had similar problems. I have heard that there are companies that specialize in dealing with customer service. They seem to be able to resolve your issue quickly and correctly. Anyone know of such a company?
