Hey pals, this is my first post.
So my M15X is about to arrive and I'm thinking getting a backpack for it. I've seen quite some nice designed SWISSGEAR backpacks and very tempted. Thing is that SWISSGEAR has quite some options in 15.6" but when goes to 17" there's not many.I'm not sure if regular 15.6" backpack is large enough to hold M15X well. I don't want it to be just "fit" but more space is better.

Anyone who has swissgear backpacks could you share your experience here?

    Thanks.

I have this one: Amazon.com: SYNERGY from SwissGear by Wenger Computer Backpack: Electronics

    - very good quality (the only thing damaged so far, after 2 years) is a one small-compartment zipper
    - very big (too big for me)
    - it has literally TONS of compartments. there has yet to be a US security checkpoint guy at the airport who has found more than ~75% of them ^^
    - very well padded
    - overall its a good and giant bag; but defeats the purpose for me since it feels like it weights more than my m11x :D

I don't have mine here at home (it's collecting dust in my office), but you can do the measurements of the laptop and these bags usually show online the laptop compartment size so you can compare.

I can't say anything for the fit of it because my SwissGear backpack is a model they don't make anymore but I can say something about their build quality. It's definitely the nicest laptop backpack I've owned. After 2-3 years of daily use it looks like I bought it yesterday. I was very disappointed when I got my m15x and it was too snug so I had to buy the Orion backpack (again, my model's dimensions will be different).

cheers guys! the swissgear ibex seems to be a good choice. M15X sure can't be bigger than a normal-size 17" laptop.

my friend at school has the ibex. It screams high quality. The zippers are real nice. has pockets for cd's, pens, cell phone, books for school, laptop ofc, feels really sturdy. It's awesome you will be happy with it. The zipper even makes a water tight seal when it closes
