well, im going to order a M17x tomorrow hopefully(put it off for a week, because dell's "special" deal was to offer 15 months of McAffee av software for free that ill be deleting anyway, so hopefully i get some free speakers or something) and just have a few questions
1: is the bluray burner all that useful? never used bluray before so i have no idea.
2: is the T9600 almost as good as the Q9100 despite missing 2 cores. ill just be gaming, so i dont think ill need quad core for now, but just incase.
3: the drives that come with it are 2x320GB in RAID0(with plans of upgrading to SSD's when the prices come down a bit), is there a way to disable the RAID if i dont want it that way or am i stuck with it that way?

i think thats it for now

    thanks, Tom

    1. No, bluray writable discs are still expensive, and unless you plan on video recording your own HD videos with your expensive HD Camera, the Burner is overkill IMO.
    2. IMO a fast dual core is just as good as a lower end Quad.
    3. Yes you can disable RAID, but you'll have to reinstall your OS afterwards.

If you plan on watching blu-ray movies, yes, if not, no. Blu-ray movies tend to be about $4-5 more then standard DVDs. I have blu-ray at home, so I like to use my laptop to watch them as well. Blu-ray is where the 1200p screen really shows off its true potential.
