    Hi guys,

    I received my m15x two weeks ago and noticed on the back of the lcd where the big alienware head is. The alienware logo is badly painted, lets through a lot of light and the eyes have lots of small cracks present.

    I emailed alienware about this and they said I can return it but reading lots of horror stories here about members who have returned their systems and been returned in an even worse state I am hesitant to send it off.

    I do have an older alienware system (area 51 m5550) which has exactly the same alienhead, my question is, would I be able to switch the two heads as my old one is fine and this would save me sending it back....

    Hmm ... As you paid a lots of money for the m15x, I would send it back! Even if you are a very good in computers, but you can destroy more, and then they won´t replace you the m15x!

    No you won't be able to switch them.
    Send it back if you want to solve it. You don't really have any other solution.
    That or keeping it as it is.

    @James - You are correct, I do not know what the post count it, but I can send a PM to you however I can not send one to tyler so there is definitely a limitation there.
