    what does alienware charge $ if i were to order one additional card for my

    just got of the phone with ALIENWARE tech support 169 comes with everything you need cable ect. tech support says 3870 is the only card that works with the m17 ...i also inquired about the nvidia gtx 260m .. 235 dollars does anyone know about configuring this nvidia card is it plug and play just add correct drivers? ect.

    it depends on the socket size. and no. i have heard the 9800m gtx also fits in it. also the 4850 fits in it as well. you should of metion that to him that it is on the alienware website.

    and that's a great price and it is worth it. you should hop on it right now.

    Two 4850s will fit in your system. The 9800M GTX will also fit as don says, however only one. You have to be careful with newer cards as the M17 uses MXM 2.1 sockets and the new ones come mostly as MXM 3. (For example, a 260M from the M17x would not fit in the M17 as the M17x uses MXM 3.)
