    hello people
i am considering buying an alienware m5500
it is on sale for 450 dollars on craigslist
    # Pentium – m 780 2.26 GHz processor
    # 2048MB (1024MB x 2) DDR2 533MHz Dual-channel RAM
    # 100GB 7200RPM HD
    # NVIDIA Geforce go6600 256MB dedicated GPU
    # Intel 915GM/GMS Express Chipset, 128MB shared memory (second video card)
    # 15.4" WSXGA+ (1680x1050) TFT display

i was wondering if it was worth it
i am using this for college but i want to do some light gaming.
I want to be able to play WOW, COD4, and starcraft 2 when its released.
DO u think it is worth it for 450 dollars and if it can run those games

it will run wow but dont expect cod 4 to run that well. im going to take a guess and say starcraft 2 either wont run or you will have to play it on low since it will get laggy when there are a bunch of units on the screen trying to kill each other.

if you have a low budget i suggest taking a look at the Dell Vostro or Inspiron lines. The 8600 should be sufficient for light gaming.

Yeah, don't expect to play on high settings with those specs. IF you are a serious gamer, you need a better GPU and CPU for those games. WOW would run but it's going to lag in the populated areas of the game where the CPU speed is needed the most.
