I too am interested in the progress of this. Should be ordering an m17x in the next week or 2, depending how my Whitebook sell goes. Given Shirley recently upping the price of the qx9300, the q9200 just got REAL attractive to me as well. If not that, then I'll get an x9100 to replace the p8600 it will ship with.

Well I will be ordering the base model cpu regardless, dell wants to much for an upgrade. I am pretty much looking between the Q(X)9200 and the X9100 as my options.

It seems the supply of good Q9200's is drying up. Your probably better off with an X9100 as they are more plentiful :D

Yah he'd have to change his Name to Dualzilla, and that just don't sound right. In all seriousness though an x9100 is nothing to complain about for sure.

Ya the more I think about it, the more likely it is I will buy an x9100 (and maybe later a qx9300 as well?!)

Can anyone speak as to the E0 engineering sample ones that are on ebay and how well they OC vs. the C0 versions?

What stepping is it Mandrake? I believe the ES from Shirley (for $320 US) right now are E0 while the OEM/Retail chips are C0

Loving my x9100 to death as well, but its an OEM "Official" version. Do a search for x9100, the E0 discussion has been posted before I believe.
