    I must have dropepd my m17x in the university today do you think they will replace my m17 with a new oneunder complete care warranty?

    complete care is for accidental damage. Things the limited hardware warranty included doesnt cover.

    but i think first they have to pass your laptop through some tests... if it still works then they wont replace it i dont think.. if your laptop BROKE and doesnt turn on anymore then i believe they would ;)

    If there is physical damage to the unit such as a cracked panel or any other type of cosmetic damage, it can be repaired or replaced under the Complete Care coverage (at least this was the case back in early 2008). Give them a call if there is damage and see what they can do.

    As Carnyl stated, if it doesn't turn on, etc., they will typically replace the unit with "like, or better" which means you may get an M17 refurb if there are any left.

    With tech support these days, they may put you through some hoops, but if you hold a firm tone when you talk to them, you can get what you want, which I imagine is an M17X...
