If you have a quad cpu, they are known for having stuttering issues due to the design of the chip. They are not true quads just 2 duals bridged together and this bridge can cause a bottleneck on occasions as only one can talk to the other at any given time. the new I7's alliviate this issue.

    Other causes can be

    Drivers
    Game/Application itself
    the 9400m Hybrid sli function
and i've even heard of battery packs causing issues.
    unstable gpu overclock
    unstable cpu overclock

that said i don't experience it myself, only time i've had stuttering issue not overclocking was with AMD products.

well i must be lucky as i have yet to see stuttering with the 186.24's but then again i've not been playing to many heavy gpu taxing games at the moment, been mostly playing Eve-Online right now as i always seem to do.

I've seen it in Vantage when the core speed was set a little too high.

I have a really bad problem with Vantage.
I try running it and it says 0 FPS when I run in Performance Mode but when I play Counter Strke Source I get like 80-130 FPS. What could be causing this?
    I have 186.03 Nvidia Drivers.

Do you have any more details? SLI? Nvidia profiles? Did you play the game and run Vantage back-to-back so you know all the settings are the same?

    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9000 @ 2.00GHz
    2 x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M SLI

Yes I tried running them one after another and I still had the same problem

Everything looks stock. Here's another dumb question, did you pay for Vantage?
