i use dox 185.20. beyond that, dox 180.48 still runs great.

the 179 seem to be lacking in the DX 10 area. Were the 180's seem to do better.

Im using the NIVIDA 7.15.11.7913 driver for my gpu and it seems to keep my temps at an even 50c on idle and 70c-80c while gaming.

Just curious but what kind of temps is everyone else running at?

Temps are not that different from driver to driver. All the 179 and 180 drivers will downclock when not under load, they will raise back to normal when you start an application that is GPU intense. Any driver that has powermizer built in would yield the same temps as yours.

maybe in theory but not true for me at all. Before I switched to these I would idle around 70c. couldn't not get temps to go lower no matter what i did.

What driver did you have before? 1.7913 that is the bit that matters.
If you had any of the AW stock drivers they will not "downclock" when idle like the newer ones do.
Any driver <179 series dose not have powermizer. Thus why it is important to stay semi up to date with the latest drivers. I even recommend getting a newer driver than the 179's. 182.06 is the one I am currently running on.
