    booting on thumb drive or flash drive to install new bios update?

    Hey folks alienware sent me a file called m15xbios.iso

    but the iso is not bootable :( omfg it just gets worse and worse

    how do i use my thumb drive or flash drive to boot up in dos so i could update my bios? can someone please help me before AW make me commit suicide?

    THis m15x laptop is giving me headache so bad.

    I dont know how to make a boot disk for thumb drive and the bios will not let me boot up on thumb drive either.


    btw how to i make my keyboard and all the buttons aswell as aw lights cycle through all the colors?

    I'm curious, what error do you get when you try to boot off the iso? Or rather, what exactly happens?

    and yes, the m15x can boot from USB devices, but ISOs only work correctly with the optical medium they were designed for (99% sure on this)

    and finally, yes, you can make the lights cycle. In the alienfx editor go to Theme and choose New theme. Choose to make an "Advanced" theme when it asks. You'll then have the ability to sequence colours.

    The tech from alienware uploaded a new biso iso that actually worked this time but i wasted a new blank dvd just to make this iso lol :(

    no wonder your having trouble if you burned it to dvd, they're CD isos!
