    can i keep the defective m17x?

    so i bought an m17x off of ebay and the guy who sold it to me was like a pawn shop or something. he registered the warranty to me.
    then on that one i had lot of problems overheating, shuttering, remplaced 280ms, screen problems, not botting up and then dell finally sent me a remplacement because all of the problems with it, so i was thinking if could i be able to keep the defective system

    I think they will claim it to do some research on it to avoid future mistakes. Atleast thats what I hope, maybe they just pick out all the stuff that still works and re-sell it and throw the rest in the trash.

    If they do not receive the defective unit back in 30 days you will be billed for the amount of the new one.

    correct and if they dont have your billing info which they should have taken when they sent you the exchange system they will void your warranty after that if they dont recieve it also
