its the same on the belgian site... seems its not available everywhere ?
-
could this be it
-
Indeed. I just tried adding to basket and it came with a Page not found error...
Very intriguing... -
It seems to be gone in every European country. You can still configure it in China, US and Canada. Looks like the refresh is either imminent or Europe has supply issues.
-
i doubt its supply issues they are overpriced here

They are back on! no i7 though!!
-
Looks like it was a website glitch or supply issue after all. Hopefully the update doesn't take too long.
-
There's a lot of stuff missing from set up. And base price has gone down slightly.
No black case colour, no more Q9000, and i'm sure the graphics card section is missing a few cards. -

I thought that too, waiting for the bios update now, although wont do me any good as my m17x is dead and wont boot.
in dispute with tech support trying to get it replaced -
Well I was itching to hit buy just before the weekend and glad I didn't. I hope they haven't removed the Q9000 for good, I was going to get that in my initial set up
-
I just spoke to the UK online help, and I was told that "the offers" change every week and that they did not have the information with him when I asked if the i7 and ATI 5xxx would be available.
Guess we will just have to wait and see. Frustrating having all this money burning a hole and not knowing when I can spend it -
Bloody hell I just ordered one of these last week too :/
Its back on the "home" users section of the site with a £50 price decrease but it has not been added back onto the "business" section. They have also removed the default Quad core processor. On the dell.com site they have taken off the ATI graphics cards! -
Hooray to dell for keeping us informed! :|

I *could* return it, wait, and then reorder, but come on. That's a lot of trouble and I have a feeling that the bump from a ~2.5 GHz core 2 Quad to a 1.6 GHz i7 is not going to be *that* huge. Not for me anyway. Besides, QX9300s are bound to start going for cheap soon, so I'll probably just grab one of those and run at near 3 GHz. Who needs turbo boost?
Disclaimer: this is me reassuring myself. Please don't burst my bubble. -
They should hurry up. I've never been so impatient to spend money in my life.

. . .and then we'll be in a rush or lack patience for something else.
Whatever.
UK is still selling M17x. You can configure the thing now, and the page is working. I think it was just a glitch with the website.
However, the Q9000 is no longer for sale. Now the lowest CPU config is T9600.
Also, the single 260m is no longer available, and has been replaced with a single HD Radeon 4870, followed by a twin Crossfire 4870, and then with the dual 280m GTX in SLi.
Explosivpotato, I will tell you that your machine will be playing all these games more or less the same as any of these newer units. Only difference, you'll probably have better control over the limits of your machine and a better understanding of how to put its limits to good use in gaming. -
cannot choose M17x on UK site
