    cant delete C:\BACKUP folder after alien respawn

    as the topic says, i cant delete this folder. I tried to change the permissions to read and write. but that did not work. Anyone ever tried the alien respown and is able to delete the BACKUP folder that gets created?

    Hello! (That's my first post on this excellent forum ^^ )

    You have 2 solutions to solve it:

    -You can delete this folder from a Linux OS or a Live CD. It's very easy and quick.
    -Or you can try the solution given by Alienware Technical Support right here

    Yeah, his solution is much easier than what is typically done.

    The problem is with the new system of permissions Vista uses. Although the files in the C\BACKUP folder are not actually system files, Vista thinks they are. In order to delete them, you would have to log on the "hidden" administrator account, within the hidden administrator account, take ownership of all 50000+ files, and then change the ACL on those same files. Then you could delete all the files. Like I said, Jadraja's method is much easier and quicker....

    What I never understood is WHY Respawn feels the need to copy the Windows files, when it is corruption in these very files that is causing me to use Respawn in the first place! All I would care to back up is my documents!
