    cant install XP

    Hello, i try to install Windows XP on my alienware mx15 but when i get into the install menu and hit enter to install xp it just say
    "cant find the harddrive, maby you have to run a install program or an manufaktur"
    i have vista now.

    plz help

    You need an AHCI driver.
    The M15X uses a P965M chipset, so you need to use these drivers.
    Slipstream the drivers into your XP CD using nLite. Slipstreaming will be fairly straight forward - just follow the on screen guide, when you get to the point where you can select tasks, choose driver integration. Then select the drivers from the first link.

    lol... OK, though I initially thought the same thing, keep in mind his avatar says he's over in Sweden. Since my swedish is pretty bad (OK, nonexistant!) I think I'll cut some slack for English typos.

    Unfortunately, I don't have any thoughts on the issue at hand, except to ask: are you trying a fresh install (i.e. have removed Vista) or are you trying to install XP over Vista?
