i did it, but nothing happen.

I hope you don't end up with a dead LCD panel like at least one Alienware 17 owner already has. Do you have 60Hz or 120Hz display? See this thread if you haven't already...

Maybe it would be safer to focus on getting the Windows 7 or 8 Alienware boot logo and login page background again at this point.MahmoudDewy likes this. -
So far didn't have any problem ,mine was 60hz screen, the only problem is lock screen slideshow mode unable to work.
Yeah,i just want to get back the windows 7 login and log out background, and the boot logo in 8.Mr. Fox likes this. -
This is the fellow with the 17 that Windows 10 messed up: http://forum.notebookreview.com/members/scarastisis.590806/

If you look closely at the opening post, @YuanShen is interested in the Alienware branded wallpaper on the Windows Welcome/Logon screen rather than the BIOS boot image changing from an alien head to Alienware text logo.Last edited by a moderator: Aug 29, 2015

UEFI BOOT SPLASH / UEFI SECURE BOOT SPLASH
There seems to be two boot splash image "stages": (I may be wrong)
-
1st Stage: UEFI control - this image is hard coded into the UEFI BIOS. As long as you have UEFI boot enabled, you will see the OEM logo. There is no spinning circle at this stage (O/S boot loader not yet loaded).
2nd Stage: O/S Secure Boot Loader - this image is either "blue Windows logo" with a spinning circle (non-secure boot UEFI, or legacy BIOS boot) or the "OEM logo" with a spinning circle (secure boot UEFI).
-
I think to get around the secure boot requirement for the 2nd stage logo, some people may be using special copies of "bootres.dll" (C:\Windows\Boot\Resources\bootres.dll). I am not sure. I haven't gone this route. It is my experience that using UEFI boot with Secure Boot Enabled gets you the Alienware boot logo on a Alienware 17 R2 (2015). I haven't tried with my Alienware 18. I boot too many other O/Ss to deal with Secure Boot and juggling boot keys in the BIOS at this time (This may change as my comfort level with boot keys increases). YMMV
This is just my anecdotal noodling with it. I seem to recall when I used UEFI + Secure Boot, I got the Alienware logo for both boot stages. (I may be wrong)
FYI - I was using Volume License media from Microsoft, not Alienware / Dell OEM install media.

PRE-LOGIN IMAGE / DEFAULT LOCK SCREEN IMAGE

AWimages.zip
(This package, does not include, the snazzy "brushed white" Alienware background from the 2015 models. I can attach that JPG separately. The rest, you can get from Dell in the above package.
I like to use one of the following as my login screen:
AW-CO7.jpg
Chrome-Blue.jpg
For the procedure, user Brink has an excellent write-up:

http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/14485-lock-screen-background-image-set-default-windows-8-a.html
The crib sheet is as follows:
For Option Two.
1. Browse to C:\Windows\Web\Screen\
2. Take ownership of file "img100".
3. Update permissions to the "img100" file. Add yourself with Full Control permissions.
4. Rename "img100" to img100X", accept the UAC prompt
5. Rename "AW-CO7.jpg" or "Chrome-Blue.jpg" to img100.jpg
6. Copy this file to C:\Windows\Web\Screen\ , accept the UAC prompt.
7. Make sure Windows Explorer can seen "hidden items"
8. Browse to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\
(Don't worry about the ramifications of the next steps, Windows will reset permissions on a later reboot).
9. Take ownership of the "SystemData\" directory and add check mark for "replace owner on all all subcontainers and objects."
10. Change permissions of the "SystemData\" directory an all sub-contents.
Your account --> Full Control
SYSTEM (LOCALSYSTEM) --> Full Control
11. Browse to "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData\S-1-5-18\ReadOnly\LockScreen_Z\"
12. Delete all files in the above directory.
Reboot PC.
In addition to "S-1-5-18" there may be other users' lock screens in subdirectories that need to be purged as well.

PS: Here are some other Alienware Support files:
Dell Custom Desktop Themes, A-02 Alienguise Theme Combo-Win7
http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/drivers/driversdetails?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&driverid=R276886
(Note: Package includes "Alienware Breed" wallpapers, I believe.)
(Note: I don't think the theme files work on Windows 8, 8.1, nor Windows 10 .. I could be wrong though.)

I am not sure about your slideshow problem. I have zero interest in slideshow, so I don't have any experience with it. I can't help you. Sorry.
