I tried playing the game and about 10 minutes or so the game will freeze and quit. i managed to get the error message and was hoping someone can point me in the right direction... thanks also my specs are

maybe check temps? i don't really know. Just trying to help

It's wierd but during 'Assault' when I go near one warehouse near the ship the game will crash out, badly. This happens everytime i go near the warehouse. I think the game is still quite buggy. But there should be a patch coming in the next week or so that might fix some of these issues. Just keep checking for a Crysis patch on google.

ok i guess ill try to mointor the temp what programs do i need to use to monitor it..? the game looks awesome i just want to play it lol
-
From looking over your info, it looks like a graphics driver crash. Is it reproduceable? I.e. does it constantly happen? You might want to uninstall your Video drivers use Driver cleaner then reinstall them. Just a thought.
-
yes its the same error message....
-
I'd suggest trying to re-install Direct X9.0C, and in addition, try to force Vista to run the game in DX9 compatibility mode. See if that makes a difference.
Oh, and if it is a heat issue like referenced above, I highly suggest getting a can of compressed air and blow out the ports. This is really something you should be doing to your laptop every one or two months. You'd be amazed at how much dust can get inside the PC. It's good preventative maintenance. =P
Crysis really will pust the limits of your hardware. -
"nvd3dum.dll" is an nvidia driver, and it has it as version "7.15.11.6262".
You don't have the new driver (169.09) installed correctly. -
ok i will reinstall it tomorrow when im home.. thanks all i will post an update tomorrow cant wait!

bump still need help thx

In all honesty if you want to be sure it is your drivers, card, or something else do the following:
1. Get some spare RAM. Start swapping it in various ways and see if the crashes stop. Big mem progams like crysis will fail on ram where other programs wont.
2. Fresh install of windows. From scratch. Do bare minimum driver installs, and just enough to get the game running. It is hard to recommend a driver to try on since the official driver is so outdated, but this is the only way to guaranty no previous driver residue.
3. Try to find a free/open source boot cd that has dome testing software on it for hard driver, memory, etc. and see if any tests fail.
After doing all of that you have basically done Alienware tech support. If you still cant find the problem then I really dont know what to say. I would recommend that you keep trying until you have some idea before sending it back so that you can help guide the repair guys.
Just my two cents. -
