    Hello all,

I went to Frys today to pick a DVI to HDMI cable so that I could play a video game through my LCD TV. I don't know anything about DVI cables, much less, DVI-I. That said,I asked the clerk for help and he told that all I'd need is a standard DVI cable to HDMI.

When I got home, I plugged in my new cable from the notebook to the tv, made the necessary setting to my display adapter and.... nothing.

The manual for the m5550 specifically says DVI-I to HDMI. But I don't know which type of DVI-I I should buy. I have a 256mb, NVIDIA 7600 GeForce GO.

    DOes anyone know? Thanks.

what resolution are you running at?, if the cables fit then i think its cause you'r runnin 1900x1200 and your TV doesnt support that input ....

i have a m5550 too, i plug it into my hdtv, and it will say signal incompatible or something on 1900x1080 or 1900x1200... if i down size it to like a 1024x800 or something then it works :1...

HOWEVER i'm using DVI to VGA, not to HDMI. check if your monitor can display 1080p.
