I've been using 64-bit since XP x64 Edition. I actually prefer it now.
64-bit > 32-bit in just about every way. -
Brian I suggest you do some research in the forums. Take a look to the Vista OS forums. There you could get more information.
Honestly you don´t "need" a 64-bit OS unless you... well read the forums and you will find good info.
About any gaming issue, I agree with the rest. If you play "modern" games-releases of 2 years ago or less-you shouldn´t have any problem. However there are some old games that HAVE problems.
For example, the very old and verenable Starcraft won´t run and the more recent Act of War-and its expansion High Treason-neither. Both are from 2005-2006.
If you don´t play those "old" games and you don´t care the extra money, go for it. 64 bit is the future. -
Not familiar with a 6-bit OS. My old Commodore 64 had an 8-bit architecture and ran DOS. There were a few games available, but most of what I had I programmed myself. I'd look at a 32-bit or 64-bit to play the latest games.
