    HI guys

About a week or two ago, my mother borard gave away and i had a Dell technichian to come home and fix it. than he also replaced the graphics card as well. since than games have been lagging a bit and not as smooth as they should be. i uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics driver and still the same effect. stealth mode is off as well. i contacted dell about it and is waiting for a reply. as this is the second time i had my graphics card replaced and have lost complete trust with the nvidia cards do you think they can upgrade me to a 5850??

They might if you're persistent enough. You have to "hint" them to it ;) Get lots of patience pills while dealing with Dell and it's best not to call them from a cell phone to avoid paying the "air time". I use Skype for free calls.

Be persistent and say they've had two chances to replace the faulty graphics card and your still having troubles. Personally i'd give them one more chance and if they still dont fix it then demand them change it with the 5850 or a full refund as it is not working as intended.

I agree with simonmpoulton he has made a very good point. Lol if you really want to strangle them, cut the part where you would give them a last chance and just demand the change if not then ask for a full refund. Might work.

thanks for the advice Khybrid, i have contacted dell telling them how disappointed i was on haing to have a problems with laptops of this caliber. also funny thing is that when the guy came to fix it, he told me that he was going to replace a ati 5850 for a 260m gtx later on in the day for some other guy under replacement. i have out the point across to dell about this and also said that they would benifit from it as the ati card is cheaper than the nvidia card.
