arg i just draw accidents to me! =(

ok heres all ive done really, i went into bios and went into overclocking, went into cpu multiplier and put to x11, then i tried crysis, knoticed abit of fps increase. browsed forums and someone was saying to turn of the intergrated 9400 in bios for a boost. so i go into graphics settings, and disable hybrid graphics. and when i exit and save, i get the alienware logo, the option for f2 bios, or f something for boot option, and then all i see is a underline line on the top left corner! so i crtrl deleted, renabled default settings in bios and its still the same! what have i done =s help plz!
pls sorry for my grammar im dyslexic
    thnx again guys

maybe you really shouldn't be messing with this stuff if you have no idea what you are doing?

first did you turn hybrid sli off and integrated gpu off? if so then it should be using your discrete gpus if not on battery power.

you are using raid0 correct? 2x500gig in raid0 = 1tb. If so check and make sure that you are correctly using the raid setup in the bios.

i tried puling the ac power off it still wont boot past the skull thing. only thing that must of caused this is i diabled hybrid and possibly intergrated =s thats when i wouldnt bot, so i re-enabled it to default settings in bios and still nothing.

where do i check the raid 0 in bios? yes i have raid 0

and thnx again for replying kcissem, im a pest lol =<

Pull the battery and power cord and press the power button a couple of times.

Re-insert battery and ac power and press power.

this is why i told him to check his raid setup, it is the most common issue i've found when people have screwed something up in the bios.

i'm telling you check and make sure raid is correct set in the bios

edit: i can't remember for sure where in the bios it is as i don't currently have the system in front of me but if i remember correctly it is in the same area where you see the cpu overclock and graphic overclock menus.

Yeah i was just backing up what you had stated as it seems the most common issue with the missing OS syndrom.

the list i see in the advanced section (where over clocking and graphics settings are :)

    summary
    quickbook mode
    intel virtualzation technology
    intergrated nic
    internal bluetooth
    sata opteration
    sata ahci mode
    usb emulation
    usb powershare
    usb wake support
    adapter warning

    overclocking
    graphics settings

one of the sata descriptions mentions raid

'sata operation' is set to AHCI'
is that something to do with it? it can be changed to raid from the list

Try Sata Ahci mode and see if there is a raid option there .

If not there then try the Sata operation one.
