ok, i was just using my m17x yesterday, and put it into sleep mode. when i went to turn it on again, it booted past the bios screen like normal, but then just had a flashing underscore in the top left corner. i didnt have anything plugged in, and it did this a few more times of restarting it.
And now it starts up to the alienware head, then the lock lights light up with the caps lock one flashing. i cant load the bios, as it just has the lights again.
Any suggestions before i call dell and have to deal with them?

    thanks,
    Tom

One trick I would try is unplug the laptop and pull the battery out and hold for 15 sec. Then Plug in the battery and power and see if it resets it.

i had this problem when i checked things in the bio, what u neeed to do is on the 1st tab make sure ur harddrive is set to raid, and then enable both hard drives, then f10 and it should be fixed=)
