a while ago i was asking for help with my M17...

the graphics would stutter until it would come to a complete stop at random points during gameplay (Fallout 3 etc..)

i sent it in to alienware twice. met half their technical support. tried so many things i dont care to mention

just got it back after they replaced the motherboard. still doesnt work.

what should i do? set it on fire? im pissed at this point

What drivers are you using? Have you tried the "E" modded 9.1 drivers?

You should give them a try, you've got nothing to loose and they might be just what you need. Good luck. :)

Edit: Hey, I just noticed that you've got the quad core. Others here have had the same problem too. Seems the fix is to install the OCZ .28 bios which provides a little more voltage for the quad core. Do a search about this cause it's either the .28 bios you need or the E modded drivers.

I really hope that fixes his problems; no real input here just made me remember a couple of my frustration with my laptop. Great times :)

So you can't flash it back before sending it in for repair?

you could....as long as the mobo would accept it. (meaning it did not fry the board to the point you could not flash the bios again)
