    I'm on vista x64 and I want to use bootable USB flash drive to fash my video card bios. I tried HP disk thingy or execute bootsect.exe from vista installation disk or other things I just couldn't make my flash drive boot.

    And I can't flash it from vista too because nvflash doesn't support 64bit environement...

    now what should I do?

    video card bios?

    Either you (for some unknown and inexplicable reason) call video card drivers "bios"

    -- or --

    You're referring to your video's card bio(graphy)

    It was a cold winter day when my Nviddy 9600M was born. S/He was a healthy baby and took an immediate liking to manipulating graphic objects....

    actually most video cards do have a bios,
    back in the day when the Radeon 9800 was king of graphics cards,
    they made the 9800se which had only 4 pixel pipelines and the 9800xt had a higher memory clock and 8 pixel pipelines, but to the point you could flash the 9800se with the 9800xt bios and unlock 4 pixel pipelines and speed up the core and memory clock. thus saving you like $200 dollars.
    what I want to know is what graphics card you are trying to flash and why?

    Sorry nobody was able to help you. Funny that none of these guys knew that video cards had a BIOS. What do you guys think NiBiTor RaBiT are for?

    NiBiTor = Nvidia BIOS Editor
    RaBiT = Raden BIOS Tuner

    What do you think tells the card what clocks and voltage to use on bootup?

    Let me know if you need any further assistance with the VBIOS flashing, Pencilcheck.

    I recently flashed my Evga 8800GTX cards with the Evga 8800GTX Superclocked bioses and all is well and working like a charm. Back in the day we used to flash Diamond Viper 770 cards with Diamond Viper 770 Ultra Bioses. That worked well too. Come to think of it I even flashed some V3 2000 cards with V3 3000 bioses and that worked fine as well. I even still have those cards. Now I'm trying to think of what else I flashed. Flashed my neighbor once by accident. :eek: It's a long story. Let's just say she'el never look at me the same again.

    Quite the opposite; we all knew except the first response guy.

    Way to know how to read in between the lines.
