    i search on the web but i can't found nothing relative to m17x so any body know how to change the cas latency on m17x with samsung ddr-3 -pc3-10-600 and how much it can be lowered for better performance :)

    yes i can always buy new memory but what about change latency on mine i see you have 6-5-5-15 did you change that or you buy it like that ? :)

    one more question xmp or extreme memory profiles on ram what they supose to do they work together with extreme processors?

    XMP is a gimmick that intel made and it is to be avoided. It does NOT work on notebooks. See my post at the other memory thread you posted in for more explanation.

    The CAS latency cannot be changed except in the bios through a restart (which notebooks do not offer as an option) - so this cannot be done for laptops. If you want a lower CAS, get faster ram or downclock, like Mandrake said

    The kit he has or the kit I have will be the ones to get (his for 1066 mine for 1333)

    thanks scook9, so if i downclock is lowering my memory fsb.to 1066? because i don't understand that and if i do that what timings i can get :)

    the timings will be determined by your system and ram. It depends what it is set to

    Yes, just lower the memory clock to downclock, look below, my ram at 1333 and 1066

    thanks scook9 i have mine running 7-7-7-20 i just set my memory clock to 1066 like you say, o and what happen to your old avatar i like it better :)
