How do you reset the bios properly if you overclock too high. i would like a more complete explenation then what is being shared here.
When i boot up i get black screen with white - blipping in the left corner. does that mean it cant find anything to boot?

Open the bottom and pul out the CMOS battery

yeah thats the part i know but what do i do after that? I left the cmos bqttery out qll night so i can contineu on it today. what do i do when i plug the cmos bqttery back in?

Yeah that doesnt work. I dont like the looks of this. After the alienhead there is a black screen with a white line blipping and it stays in that screen so i think it cant find anything to boot. I am now trying to boot from the recovery disc. please help me if you can.

Evil - when you removed the CMOS battery, did you have your main battery out of the bay as well? If not, try that - remove main battery, disconnect AC, remove CMOS battery. Hold down power button for a few seconds. Replace CMOS battery/main battery/AC and boot up.
If that doesn't correct it, try this and reflash the BIOS:

Yeah too late im rebooting and yes i tryed with the ac adaptor out so but the boot from cd is working now so thx for your help guys
