    i found a scrape

    it want there before !
    how did it come ?? it located just over the gpu fan area.and its goes around from the back of screen to the light pipe under it.
    is it because the heat in that area that result from the gpu fan ?
    or my hinge is beganing to broke :( ?
    is this covered under warranty ?
    please help..i am scared :( :( :( :(

    That doesn't look that threatening. You sure you didn't cause it yourself? How old is your m15x? It's not pretty, of course, but I don't think it'll affect your hinge unless it's rather deep. Looks kind of shallow in the screen shots, like it grazed something sharp enough.

    I don't think that has anything to do with the hinge as well. Looks more like it was scraped by something real sharp.

    no ,i am sure nothing sharp caused that ,i am extreamly carefull with my unit.
    i even dont close the lid unless i need to transport to anywhere else my desk.
    unit old around 9 months
    but ,is't covered by the warranty ?

    i may be wrong but i think that would fall under natural wear and tear....
    i.e. - not covered under warranty since AW did not cause it.
    kinda like getting the first scratch on your new vehicle.

    I don't think it wil be covered by the warranty. It is not a cracked hinge and it looks like it got scratched while it was in your posession so I guess you got to live with it. I guess you could try and make it look better by using some automotive scratch remover on it.

    It wouldn't hurt to ask. Talk to Roswell and see if you can get the lid replaced.

    They're willing to take international cases as well, but it might be cheaper if you emailed them if you're not in the US. Calling them from another country may get expensive.

    there is no local TS/CS :( :( lool (i imported it from US)
    i heard that Dell have bought Alienware ,and my friend told me that Dell can take care of AW parts and what so ever ,gonna check what can they do.
