I just ordered this today. I really couldn't go over my budget.

My main concern is how good the the processor?

still good enough to max out any game.

Do not worry unless you run multiple VMware applications and PS and then encode a video then you will be fine

The processor will be comparable or better then a t9400 or maybe a t9600 at stock clocks just die to the difference in architecture.

What is the rest of your config so i can try and let you know what kind of performance to expect?

This is the the same configuration I got also. At first I was worried that I may have messed up, but after having it for a couple of days, I am pretty pleased.

The only game I have got to run on it so far is World of Warcraft. WoW runs really really smooth on it. I am a hardcore Raider and spend most of my game time in 25m raids. The core i5 seems to be doing a really good job.

I will probably buy one of the core i7's when they come down in price and replace my i5 via Moo's vid. But the i5 is great for now.

Why you would get 6gb at 1066 instead of 4gb at 1333 and a better processor is beyond my comprehension.

I changed your processor to the core i7 quad 720 from 520 and your memory to 4gb 1333mhz from 6gb 1066 and the cost went down by 10 bucks.

    epic fail.

maybe cause 1333mhz ram has minimal performance impact except in benchmarking scores?

although getting 6gb isn't much of a better choice(unless he honestly needs it).

That's definitely debatable. A gaming rig is one of the few machine types where ram speed (instead of capacity) matters. If you're building a gaming rig, you don't choose 6gb 1066 for an extra 200 dollars when you can choose 4gb at 1333 for an extra 50, especially when these processors and this motherboard are compatible with 1333mhz ram.

You could be less offensive? I don't think people are going to happy with you "epic failing" their new purchase. Where in fact you might be wrong aswel.
The comparison between 1333 and 1066Mhz ram has been debated a long time ago, and it was inconclusive! Some think it's worth it and some don't.

True, just get 4GB of 1066 and save your money. (I do not believe tsuekasa is going to benchmark, but game the socks off this rig).
Also Dell's Memory isn't that good and in my opionion it's overpriced anyway.

I'd say; if on a tight budget, Call Dell and change your order (if possible) and save the rest of your money. If else no worry tsuekasa, your in the save for gaming with the 4870XF ;) Enjoy!

In the Dell Singapore store, only 6GB is available. That could be the reason. It doesn't offer the i3/i5 though, so it is could be from another store.

WoW is the reason I bought my R2. I also raid 25-man and wanted something better than my T9300 CPU on my Studio 17 laptop. I will be doing my first raid with it tonight so I can't wait to see the difference. :)

The only thing I am upset about is the fact that WoW will not use both graphics cards, although this setup is a big improvement than what I had and runs great so far. I only hope that when Cataclysm comes out Blizzard will start catching up with technology. I read somewhere their graphics engine is getting an update so I am hoping for the best.
