I just had a thought about playign an RTS game on the M17x. What if the alienFX system were to coupe with hotkeys/build keys in the game.

i play alot of WC3 so say i were to click a building and my keyboard is lite up it would be cool to see the few keys that are hotkeys light up a different color. or say i were to click a hero their ability hotkeys were to light up a dif color. it may or may not help out in game mostly may help begginers so they can get used to hotkeys so they dont always have to click their build/hero ability

just my thoughts anyone want to contribute?

If the keyboard is the one I'm thinking it is, then it'd be impossible as the keys aren't individually lit.

I think that the leds in there are like 3 or 5 way under the keyboard its not each key with its own light source so just lighting up a key or two with a difference color wouldnt be possible.

You can bind stuff to a key though with some programs or just memorize the normal shortcuts.

Yeah, you can only adjust quadrants from left to right individually.

ive been playing wc3 for years and have adjusted to using a completely different keybind setup. playing different races means using different keybindings, but there are custom key formats out there you can use that adjust it to something like this.

    QWER
    ASDF
    ZXCV

so no matter what the bottom right ability is in the grid, it will be V, bottom left on the grid would be Z.

try it out, it makes it much easier to experiment with all the races and play them well.
