Better off just selling your machine and taking that $500 towards a new machine of your very own. The likelihood of someone wanting to trade there brand new machine for the old M15x is about 0% and more so because of all the issues it has/had.

Check out Ebay, and see what others are selling there m15x's at. Check the ones that actually have people bidding on. And determine your selling price depending on your config compared to the ones who are getting bids. This is the best way to go. I'd be better getting your own new M15x then to trade someone.
